K. Forest ‘Kashief Hanson’ was Born in Toronto, Ontario, nephew to lead singer/songwriter Andy “Boosie” Hanson of the rap group “Tru-Paz” and nephew to lead vocalist Michelle Hanson, featured on “Jesus Walks” by Kanye West. He launched his music career with his first studio album, “Forest Fire” in 2015. In 2016, he made his debut appearance on Travis Scott’s “Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight”, featuring a remix of K. Forest’s original song “Guidance”. K. Forest then followed up with a set of singles between 2016 -2017 that included one of his best-streamed songs: Link. From 2017-2025, K. Forest released six full-length studio albums and four EPs, gaining well over 80 million streams across all streaming platforms. K. Forest has produced for the likes of OVO’s own - Baka Not Nice, Juicy J and the U.K. Grime Pioneer, Giggs. He has also co-curated the playlist for the Netflix TV-Series “Top Boy”, and had a song featured in TV series: “Grand Army (Netflix) '' & “Ballers (HBO)”. K. Forest looks to stay true to his source of influences to create fresh, relatable music as he progresses through the industry as an Independent Artist.
